Students created their own examples of terrestrial food chains with four to eight organisms in the chain.
Food chains are usually identified by field experiments and laboratory experiments.
Students used the white board to create food webs by drawing arrows between the pictures of different organisms provided. A secondary arctic marine food web was presented similarly in comparison.
Brian ended with a discussion of the Narragansett Bay food web. Students had processed much important vocabulary by class end.
